I hope people like the new layout of the forum boards. It's still in a fluid state and will be tweaked in future, no need to worry about that! If you have any comments, feel free to make your feelings known.

Do not fear, I have not deleted any posts, although I have a handful that are marked for deletion in the future, which I'm pretty sure will not be missed. Unfortunately, the result of keeping all posts is that some boards are a little chaotic. Welcome/introduction messages have been incorporated in the General Discussions and most of the fun boards have been amalgamated into "Assorted amusements", and it has now become a little difficult to browse.

You may have noticed that beneath your username you find listed a category. I have just been playing with the system and currently these categories are: USyd Linguistics Student, Linguistics Student, Ex-Linguistics Student, Linguist, Enthusiast, LingSoc Exec. Member, and "Lacks classification". If you are in the wrong category, or you've changed category, or you lack classification, then let me know (PM/email) and I'll adjust it. These categories are for your benefit!
